Introduction

We established our group called ‘Münster Universal Youth Group’ in 2019. It is an informal youth group of people who study at the University of Münster, however, it welcomes any youth from any university in Germany. We do not have any borders to limit anyone. Germany has a large diverse culture and this diversity increases day by day with newcomers from all around the world. So, this diversity of culture becomes possible if we know how to respect one another and live together under one umbrella. To benefit from each other’s experiences, first, we need to recognize each other.

We believe that involving social projects helps us understand various perspectives within the world we live in. This serves to counter negative stereotypes about different groups and personal biases. Therefore, our Munster Universal Youth Group aims to recognize this diversity of culture and make students know and interact with each other. Through our national and international volunteering projects, the group wishes to increase awareness in society, especially among the youth. To achieve this goal, the group organizes or participates in several youth projects in art, migration, social inclusion, social entrepreneurship, young participation, and peacebuilding.
