Münster Universal Youth Group is an informal youth group of people who study at the University of Münster, however, it welcomes any youth from any university in Germany. We do not have any border to limit anyone.

My First introduction with Münster Universal Youth Group was in 2020. I got selected for an Erasmus+ project in Turkey, Sanliurfa. It was a place I never heard about, completely out of my comfortzone. Although it was kind of excited because I was going somewhere, I never visited and probably never would if I didn’t had this opportunity. We went with a diverse group of people and I met new people and cultures I haven’t encountered. The whole week was full of amazing and impressive moments.

I had a privilege to take part in the team of MUYG for a couple of times. Every program I joined bridged youth from different corners of Europe and enabled me to interact with people from various cultures. Thanks to the programs, I came to further appreciate the diversity of cultures.

I would like to heartily thank MUYG for organizing very unusual projects. The choice to gather all of us in the Canary islands brought to me so much wonder as it truly blurred the borders of east and west. I am really happy that I attended the traditional flavors of Europe project in Fuerteventura. It was such an amazing experience for me. Thanks to this project, I really meet new friends, who were from different countries, that gave me the opportunity to get information about their culture , foods and religion. I am a student in Münster and my experience with MUYG was quite special. The procedure of applying was easy and fast. Team mates were very friendly and interactive, while the collaboration was strong. I am glad to have been part of one the projects from this organisational group and I’m looking forward to have more experience in these exchange projects. I would recommend it to anyone who is open to experience cultural exchange with people from different countries as it is educative in an fulfilling way.
